Join us for an evening of poetry with David McConkey & Tony Brathwaite! “an other being” is an engaging collaborative journey. Spirited moving drawings by artist David McConkey inspire poet Tony Brathwaite’s words, and Tony’s powerfully tense words inspire David’s drawings. Books will be available for purchase and signing.

Tony Brathwaite was born in Ontario and spent most of his life moving around the province. Now based in St. John’s, he has been exploring and living in Newfoundland since 2005. Arranging words with varying degrees of intensity for most of his life, he has released one previous collection of poems, Fragments (2002), and has performed at readings in Ontario, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland.

David McConkey has deep roots in the Peterborough, Ontario area however now lives in Newfoundland. Change Islands is his healing place on the Rock.
