Give me your hair, not the lock, but the root, the part that knows how to hold. Open your ribs, like Adam, part like the sea, like a virgin, bleeding. why are you crying? make a nest of your mouth, a forest of your bones, a ladder of your torn hair. it can’t be that hard.
