University of Regina Press is the 2018 recipient of the League of Canadian Poets’ Honorary Membership Award. 

Each year, the LCP presents this award to honour and celebrate leaders in Canada’s poetry community, who achieve and contribute to poetry in extraordinary ways. University of Regina Press is more than deserving of this award, as their commitment and dedication to the literary arts, as well as the passion and purpose under which they operate. 

The University of Regina Press was an invaluable partner of the League in producing the recent anthology Measures of Astonishment: Poets on Poetry. The collection of essays compiles more than a decade of the annual Anne Szumigalski lectures, a mix of both deeply personal and formal essays that explore the impact of poetry on individuals and culture in Canada. For their excellent work in helping the League to make this vision a reality, we are thrilled to welcome the University of Regina Press to the League as the 2018 honorary member.
