The video poem “Canoe” is a collaboration between poet Kate Marshall Flaherty, composer/filmmaker Mark Korven, and Gabe Flaherty.
“Canoe” was first published inย Titch,ย Piquant Press, 2023, and was made into a video-poem by Mark Korven, sound by Gabe Flaherty, with the support of the King Foundation Georgian Bay Project.

She’s been published inย CV2, Vallum, Grain, Room, Trinity Review, The Literary Review of Canada, Eventย andย Tamarack Review. She was shortlisted for the Mitchel Poetry Prize 2021, and Arcโs Poem of the Year 2022. She writes spontaneous “Poems of the Extraordinary Moment” (P.O.E.M.s) for charity, in person and online, and guides StillPoint Writing and Poetry Editing.
