Dauber
By Jean Adams
Hey, Mud Dauber,
zop on over here.
She drip a little water,
keep you close and near.
Mister Mud Dauber
cobble up your home,
fly your jabberwocky wings,
leave her all alone.
Keep your stinger for the coppers
flying neighborhood choppers!
She just splashinโ in the pool
with bald headed papa, while
mamma scrape a nail
along the bottom leaf
to pull away the aphids
from tomato seed.
Hey, Mud Dauber,
doggone all destroyed.
Black widow bombers
make us unemployed.
Mister Mud Dauber,
neighbor Carpenter Bee,
build a better home.
Yonder landโs plenty.
