Support: In protest of the elimination of the Creative Writing & Publishing Program at Sheridan College

Recently, the League discovered that Sheridan College had decided to cut the Bachelor of Arts program in Creative Writing & Publishing (CW&P). This program is one of 40 facing cuts due to decreased revenue resulting from caps on international student enrollment.

The office of the League of Canadian Poets is situated in the land of Tkaronto which is the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.
