Film
By Thyuntamable1
the better part of these episodes
gets cut short by melancholy
when I change the channels
in my life
but I’m slowly learning
to not be so in control
to go with the flow even if it blows me over
every now and again
I always get up a little stronger
than I was the last time I watched it all
play out
though I’m getting tired
of having to press rewind
in order to move forward
I wish I could forget
my traumas
as well as I can remember them
but who am I fooling
not even alcohol damage
can reach that part of my memory
I’ll be dealing
with these thoughts
for the rest of my life
I just have to not let them
cut me so deeply
I’m done with scars
I don’t need any more
