Instead of Writing a Poem by Susan Robertson

Poem title: Instead of Writing a Poem
Poet name: Susan Robertson
Poem: I read a poem by James Wright.
The one with the ponies.

They have come gladly out of the willows.
To me they appear as Gods.

Such strange things these bodies are.
My husband has cancer.

The ponies eat their grass.
They have come gladly out of the willows.

My husband has cancer.
The ponies eat their grass.
End of poem.
