Smith by Nicholas Bradley

Poem title: Smith

Poet name: Nicholas Bradley

Poem: Hephaestus the armourer,

new dad, dons reflective

shell, buckles bicycle

helmet, and heads back heedful

from forge to family—

home to keep the other fires

alive. He was immortal

once. Now he can’t die.
