Karen Loucks is a queer and disabled writer living in Victoria, B.C. on the unceded traditional territory of the lษkฬสทษลษn speaking peoples. Her poetry has been published in several anthologies, including Iโll Get Right On it: Poems on Working Life in the Climate Crisis; Worth More Standing; and Sweet Water: Poems for the Watersheds. She won the High Marsh Press Deborah Wills Chapbook Contest (2024), and had a poem longlisted for the CBC Poetry Prize (2023).
