Call for Illustrators: Indigenous History Month, Pride Month, and Disability Pride Month
The League is seeking two illustrators or graphic designers to create unique Poetry Pause logos that celebrate Indigenous History Month, Pride Month, and Disability Pride Month.
Seeking: Queer, Indigenous illustrator/ designer
June 2025 celebrates both Pride Month and Indigenous History Month. The League is seeking a queer First Nations, Indigenous, or Metis illustrator or designer to create a Poetry Pause logo to celebrate both Indigenous and 2SLGBTQ+ creators.
Seeking: Disabled illustrator/ designer
July 2025 celebrates Disability Pride Month. The League is seeking an illustrator or designer who is disabled/living with a disability to create a Poetry Pause logo to feature alongside poems by disabled poets throughout July.
Each selected designer will receive an honorarium of $300 for this work. Interested candidates should email nicole@poets.ca with work samples by May 6, 2025. Inquiries may also be sent to nicole@poets.ca.
